Our very first Festival of The Boy is took place on Sunday 17 May at Big Penny Social, East London.
The event had boys meeting pilots, taking part in wilderness adventures, trying new sports while also connecting with their creative sides, meeting authors and artists and having space to explore what it really means to be a boy.
Although designed for 7-11 year old boys, everyone was welcome. Look what we got up to:
As awareness grows around the pressures facing young boys, from restrictive ideas about masculinity to a lack of diverse role models, it is clear that meaningful change requires spaces that support all children. Festival of The Boy brings the same joyful, inclusive, and carefully designed approach that has made Festival of The Girl so impactful, extending it to boys and their families.
Our first Festival of The Boy was a huge success. Watch this space for what happens next.
