GFS is a feminist charity that has spent almost 150 years supporting girls and young women. Our vision is of a world where girls are free to be themselves and we exist to help girls feel confident in who they are, no matter what the world tells them.
We run weekly activity groups across England and Wales, building girls’ self-esteem and resilience in single-gender spaces where they can form supportive relationships and learn life skills through play. We take an early intervention approach, supporting girls before they reach the challenges of their teenage years by designing our programme around girls’ wants and needs, whilst keeping a firm focus on fun. Our groups offer a safe space where girls can gain the tools and experiences they need to thrive, within a non-competitive environment that values each girl individually. Add your name to our Wall of Fame! Visit the GFS stand to celebrate yourself, someone you know or someone you admire. You can create some art or a message of positivity and add it to our wall, telling the world that girls are allowed to do what they want and be who they feel! (We also have a digital version for grown-ups!) #GirlsAllowed
Plus, don’t miss your chance to join the conversation…answer our key questions and become part of our Girls In project, listening to girl voices all over England & Wales and learning about what girls want and need. Come and tell us what you think so we can keep helping girls change the world!
