Leia is an inspiring primary school student, who is passionate about charity work and healthy activities, including team and individual sports. She is utterly dedicated to helping others and committed to being her best self. With a keen awareness of people’s emotions and a remarkable listening ability, Leia ensures that no one feels left out or unhappy.

Since the age of six, Leia has actively participated in various charity events organised by her family to raise funds for causes related to women and children. Her proudest events have been swimming 140 lengths for Brain Tumour Research in memory of her grandmother and in support of her friend’s dad. Most recently she has grown her hair for 18 months, allowing her to donate 13 inches of her hair to the Little Princesses Trust so they can put it towards making wigs for children. Leia’s empathy is unparalleled.

Her hard work has not gone unnoticed. She received the 2024 Rising Star Award from We are the City and was honoured with a Golden Door Award from her head teacher. She recently was commended by Surrey Youth Voice for her contributions to the community. Leia has gone on to become the first Youth Ambassador for My Emotions Activity Book where she works with the founder to explore new ways to support children in expressing their thoughts and feelings.

Leia is excited to have this opportunity to join the youth advisory board. She loves new experiences at such a young age and thrives in the ‘real world’. She is very interested in what people do for their jobs and already has a plan to be a professional athlete (and take her future children to her global meets!) She loves speaking to her school about what she is doing and this could be a good marketing avenue also for FotG. Leia is aiming to apply for head girl in year 6 and the leadership opportunities this would bring would strengthen her application.
