As a young girl, Lou was told, nice girl should be seen and not heard.
Without realising, she shrunk her life. to fit into the expectations of others and didn't find her confidence and power until midlife.
Horrified that it took her so long, Lou created a grassroots movement called the self love revolution to empower women to seize their power and confidence particularly in middle age, giving them inspiration & motivation & tools & tips to unshrink themselves and live a big bold life & take up space
In her former life. She’s worked with families in crisis, young offenders, coached Kids & Teens across it & track & field.
Her message. in a world of social media and AI is that the power is you! The power is showing up as yourself and being your true self, accepting the good, the bad, and the bits you would maybe change. Because when when one woman or girl sets herself free , she sets another one free & it spreads!
Lou’s bringing her powerful, big, bold, bright Wardrobe of Dreams to Festival of The Girl!
It is an invitation to adults to step back into your younger self. Before we got told what to wear, how to dress, how to behave, and how to grow old. It’s for the girls to feel free & unjudged & seen! And to realise there is no rule book!
It's a place for imagination, creativity, acceptance, silliness & braveness. It’s about learning about the feeling of taking up space. Taking all the selfies. Being silly. Being brave. Letting loose. Having fun. It's an opportunity to try new things. and see how it feels with the hope that you take that feeling out into the world to do bigger things for yourself & maybe for others. Raise your voice and ask for what you want!
